Procastinating is an art.
It requires time management, ironically. When procastinating, one must make sure that there is still time to catch up… or cram. I’ve basically been doing such the past month and a half.
I have started studying again on a Postgrad Program in Maritime Law (with Lloyds Maritime Academy and London Metropolitan University) when I figured that I could use something worthwhile to do on my free time. After having enrolled and finally started some reading, I realized that there’s just too much distractions around. TV, movies, night outs, the bed… All seemed to keep my attention away from the books.
And tonight is no exception. I should be studying instead of spending hours on itunes and the blogs.
What the heck was I thinking when I enrolled on a law course and juggling it with work??? Did I really think through the ramnifications? This meant less time for tv, for the net, etc. etc… I’m not so sure though that I’m going to let it affect some night outs.
Nevertheless, I still think the right choice was made in returning to studies. I mean, might as well do something productive while I still have relatively a lot of free time on my hands. The movie Idle Hands comes to mind for a moment…
The reality is – it is just difficult to get into the swing of being a student again after 5 years of working. It’s either going to be 16 months of hell, or 16 months of procastinating, ergo, time management.
Ok – now I have to go back to studying…
