It has been a very hectic week in and out of the office. And a lot of drinking too.

Besides the drinking however, it was Culture Night (Kulturnatt) in Bergen which also coincided with the Food Festival (Matfestival). The Sentrum was closed to traffic which brought chaos to traffic on Friday.

As usual in Bergen, rain poured the whole day but that didn’t stop us from joining in some outdoor concerts. Also went to see a performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in Grieghallen, performed by visiting choirs from 11 nations.

The highlight of the week was a weekend in London to watch the Last Night of the Proms in Hydes Park over a picnic blanket, a bucket of KFC, a jug of pimms and choice of chips and nuts.

Apart from the classical performances highlighting the Proms, rock and pop artists also gave performances livening up the event, plus a video link up to the Royal Albert and other Proms performances across the UK. I will try to upload some videos taken during the show when I return back from holiday.
